Chinese New Year Thousand-Buddha Dharma Function

On 26th January, the Chinese New Year Day Thousand-Buddha Chanting Dharma Function took place at Fo Guang Shan South Island at 10:30 am. Over 150 devotees attended the special Dharma Function and the Temple staff and members of Buddha’s Light International Association South Island seized the once a year opportunity to pray for a good year.

The Venerables taught the attendees how Chinese New Year is celebrated by Fo Guang Shan and Buddhists and presented them with longevity buns. After having lunch in the Dining Hall, the devotees walked through the Art Corridor to appreciate the wonderful photography works. Many local residents also came to Temple on Chinese New Year and shared the joy and celebrations of Chinese New Year.
