The wedding of Georgina Christiansen and Aaron Jarvis

Fo Guan Shan Temple, North Island, New Zealand
The wedding of Georgina and Aaron was a very special occasion for the Dharma family at Fo Guan Shan Temple as it is the first between an English couple, who are both Buddhists and members of the English sub-chapter of the NZBLIA.
As a mark of respect to their parents, the couple had a service in a Christian church on the previous day, before exchanging vows at the Temple to mark the beginning of their new life together as members of the Fo Guan Shan Humanistic Buddhist community in Auckland.
70 members of the English sub-chapter, the BLIA and friends and family joined in the service and later celebrated in the Main Shrine. Lesley Ruki-Willison acted as the MC during the service and Linda Daniell spoke on behalf of the English sub-chapter. The members of the English sub-chapter also sang Fo Guang Shan Ji Ge (the song of Fo Guang Shan in Chinese) to show their thanks to Georgina, who leads the English Sub Chapter choir, and wish both her and Aaron a rich and successful life together.
