Afternoon Tea to Thank Those Involved

Hosted by Buddha’s Light International Association and held in Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island New Zealand at FGS South Island, ‘Nature and Life – Floral Week’ came to a successful end on 19th December. On 20th December, a special afternoon tea was held in Fo Guang Tea House to say a big thank you to those who helped out with the exhibition, especially those who entered pieces of floral presentation to the exhibition. President of Ikebana International Ms. Ray King, Vice-President Ms. Yumiko Akashi, Secretary Ms. Wendy Johnson and Mei Wang were apart of the group of twenty who came to the afternoon tea session. On behalf of BLIA South Island, President Mr. Cheng and his wife, Vice-President Ms. Chen, Advisor Mr. Lai and his wife, Advisor Ms. Liao and Director Ms. Kuo expressed their gratitude to the group for their help.

President of Ikebana International Ms. Ray King expressed her satisfaction with this exhibition. Not only did the architecture and interior design of the building nicely express the messages of the floral presentations, they were touched by the services and helping hands given by the staff members. She also passed on the gratitude of members of Ikebana International on giving them an an unforgettable week here at FGS South Island. In his speech, President of BLIA Mr. Cheng, thanked the group for their hard work and were very happy that such great achievements were reached upon working together for the first time. Surrounded by a joyful atmosphere, they shared their floral arrangement experiences, talked about their plans for the future and made plans to create even better pieces of presentation for the community in the coming years.
