Special Guest from Afar

Mr. Hua and his daughter, on holiday in New Zealand from Malaysia, managed to make time to come to Fo Guang Shan South Island for a quick visit on 19th December. Mr. Hua expressed that, in the past he has passed FGS South Island many times, but as his times could not fit in with our opening hours, he has not had the chance to visit. However, his desire to visit was not diminished but made even stronger, and today his wish was finally fulfilled, right before he was due to return to Malaysia. Venerable Juexi gave Mr. Hua a quick introduction to the activities and events organized by Buddha’s Light International Association Young Adults Division South Island New Zealand and gifted him with “Australia and New Zealand Buddhist Youth Conference 2008 Special Report” and other publications by FGS. Mr. Hua soon began his journey towards the airport and felt that he had gained a lot within such a short visit.
