FGS Benefactor Louisa Kuo Shares Touching Experience
Fo Guang Shan benefactor and Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple shrine attendant leader Louisa Kuo flew back to Christchurch from Taiwan on the 3rd of December, after attending the Land and Water Dharma Function.
On the 4th of December, upon her arrival at Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple, Louisa acknowledged her return to the Bodhisattvas and Venerable Abbess Manshin, where she also shared her experience of attending the Land and Water Dharma Function with the people around her, including Venerable Juexi, Gina Chen, Seeshen Lee and Tracy Chen.
According to Louisa, Venerable Master Hsing Yun specially travelled from Nan Jing, the old capital of China to Ilan University to meet with the benefactors. Venerable Master Hsing Yun stated that “I use to call the benefactors ‘the bosses’, but now I call them ‘teachers’. This is because the benefactors resolve to support, which makes me endeavour not to be lax. I remember the time when I was at Ilan University, and saw a child carrying a little girl while reciting the Buddha’s name continuously; this memory always reminds me to be diligent in reciting the Buddha’s name”.
During the Dharma function, Louisa met many benefactors who were generous and very supportive of the Dharma, which was touching for her to see. Louisa could feel the dedication Taiwan has towards Buddhism during the Land and Water Dharma Function.
