“Nature And Life” Meeting With Ikebana Vice-President

In preparation for the “Nature and Life’” exhibition which will be held at Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple from the 13th to 19th of December, Ikebana International Christchurch Chapter 202 vice president Yomiko had a meeting with their teacher Ms. May Wang to discuss the upcoming event.

Buddha’s Light International Association South Island members who were present at the meeting included event organizer Tracy Chen, Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 Assistant Curator Seeshen Lee as well as Venerable Juexi.

Topics which were discussed during the meeting included:
1. There will be around 30 different flower arrangement products to be shown
2. The organization of staff members to help with the exhibition and live flower arrangement shows
3. The size of the flower arrangements
4. The time and space for the flower arrangements
5. Relevant advertising information 6.how the voting and prizes will proceed.

After the meeting, Venerable Juexi guided Yomiko and May around the art gallery and Buddha Hall. Yomiko was stunned by the architecture and the beauty of the Temple, and was sure that the “Nature and Life” exhibition will be of the highest quality when displayed within the temple environment.
