Women’s Walking Club visit FGS South Island Temple
On the 2nd of December, 7 ladies from the Women’s Walking Club visited Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple. The women, all over 60 years of age, were introduced to the exhibition “Draw with Heart” at Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 by Buddha’s Light International Association South Island member Tracy Wang.
Apart from being shown around the Art Gallery, the visitors were also introduced to “Purple Sand 18 Arhats” artwork in the Hai Hui Hall; where they asked many questions regarding Arhats and displayed great interest in the handcrafted figurines.
The ladies have had a long friendship of 24 years between themselves, and keep healthy by taking a walk with 3 to 5 fellow club members as well as having the spirit of “keeping healthy for life”.
After touring the Temple, the ladies expressed their fondness of the tranquil and serene Temple environment, and further enjoyed their day by enjoying delicious vegetarian food at Fo Guang Tea House. The ladies’ visit was truly a meaningful experience of cultural exchange!
