SAFE members need not fret at Fo Guang Tea House!
As Christmas is just around the corner, Christchurch companies and organizations are beginning to organise Christmas luncheons and banquets.
It couldn’t have been more appropriate for the Riccarton branch of SAFE (Save Animals From Exploitation) to choose Fo Guang Tea House as their venue for their special end-of-year feast.SAFE is an organisation established in 1932, with the aim of campaigning on behalf of animals for their due rights. With delicious vegetarian cuisine, society members need not place a burden on their conscience!
On the 30th November, 26 cheerfully dressed members of the organisation gathered at Fo Guang Tea House to have their Christmas lunch. Members explained that they chose to have their lunch at the Tea House, because having vegetarian meals does not involve killing animals, and therefore is a means of protecting animals.
After the delicious buffet lunch, the SAFE members took time to enjoy the current exhibition “Draw with the Heart” at Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2. Society members expressed that Fo Guang Tea House is an ideal and meaningful venue for special end-of-year banquets.
