Where was the party at? Parents find out

Earlier this year in July, Buddha’s Light International Association Brisbane’s Young Adult Division president Amy Hsieh brought 7 fellow Brisbane YAD members to Christchurch to participate in ANZBYC 2008. During the camp, the Brisbane YAD members got to know many South Island YAD members.

On the 22nd November, Amy Hsieh’s father Denny Hsieh, her mum as well as her auntie visited Fo Guang Shan Temple, and were received by Venerable Abbess Manshin and Venerable Juexi.

Abbess Manshin introduced the Temple to them, including an explanation of the Temple’s building concept. Abbess also introduced South Island YAD members to the parents- the youth that Amy shared 5 memorable days with.

Mr Hsieh commented that the temple emits a strong sense of arts and humanities. Abbess Manshin also presented them with the ANZBYC Special Report, Way of Life and the Fo Guang Shan New Zealand Grand Opening Special Issue.
