“Draw With the Heart” goes on Council’s website!
“Draw with Heart” is currently on exhibition in Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery II of Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple. The artists of these masterpieces are Taiwanese children between the ages of 4 and 12.
A combination of creativity, love and heart is their attempt to touch the hearts of others around the world and to share their unique gifts as a child. “Draw with Heart” allows children to freely express themselves through art, and in doing so, discover themselves.
As part of FGY Art Gallery 2's publicity effort, assistant curator See-Shen Lee organized for the exhibition’s information to be uploaded on Christchurch City Council’s “Be There” website.
As of 12th of November, the information on the exhibition can be accessed at the council's website, and the link that leads directly to the information on the website can be is http://bethere.co.nz/arts/2008/1240-draw-with-heart.
In addition, “Heart of a Child”-a week dedicated to sharing time and heart with children from various schools and organizations-will be held at FGS South Island from the 29th November to 5th December.
Over the course of the week, YAD members and BLIA members will guide the children in admiring the exhibition “Draw with Heart” at FGY Art Gallery II, and provide them with an introduction of the temple. The tour of the temple will be followed by morning or afternoon tea at Fo Guang Tea House.
