New Zealand Artist Praised the high standard environment in the FGY Art gallery CHCH
On 12th February 2021, Local Artist Shelley Valentine came in the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch. She is one of the friends of FGY Art Gallery and recently she read the newsletter that the FGY Art Gallery CHCH provide opportunity for local artist who wish to exhibit artworks in this gallery. She contacted and Gallery’s Public Relation Ryan welcome her and discuss about the details.
Shelley is a multi-media artist who expert in using different elements to create her artwork which includes collage, printmaking, weaving technology and other mixed-media. She loves Australian Aboriginal Culture so she often uses it in her artistic creation as well. She had joint exhibitions with other artists previously in Christchurch and hope to enhance the standard of art by held a solo exhibition.
Shelley have brought couple of her artworks for gallery to review, Ryan also give her a quick tour guide in the gallery. Shelley was satisfied with the art gallery environment. Therefore, she believes the gallery’s exhibition space will enhance the level of her artworks and hope her solo exhibition application can be approve.
