Manurewa Probus Senior Citizens Visit FGS North Island
On the 29th of August, 43 retirees from Auckland Manurewa Probus visited FGS North Island and enjoyed the delicious vegetarian meal from Water Drop Teahouse in the temple.
Standing in the courtyard, BLIA member Nick gave them a detailed introduction about the main activities of FGS, such as 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing, giving out Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s book “366 Days With Wisdom” and other cultural and educational activities, which sews the seeds of Humanistic Buddhism in New Zealand and bringing the empressement, the goodness and the beauty to the society through the wonderful shots. The Senior citizens then visited the “One Stroke Calligraphy by Venerable Master Hsing Yun“ exhibition in the art gallery. Through Nick’s explanation of the video of Master Hsing Yun, they understood the content and the meaning of the calligraphy and were deeply touched by Master’s magnanimous work. Before leaving,they expressed that they benefited enormously from this visit and would bring friends and families together to feel the tranquil atmosphere of the temple in the future.
