Happy Coffee Hour Brings People Joy at Fo Guang Shan Auckland

The Happy Coffee Hour promotion was launched on July 2021 at the Water Drop Vege Café Auckland under the guidance of Abbess Manshin. Everyone was able to enjoy a 50% discount on coffee by bringing their own coffee cups from 9am to 10am every Tuesday to Sunday. This promotion received positive feedbacks from the customers as they were able to enjoy a warm cup of coffee in the winter morning while protecting the environment and reducing environmental waste.

The Minister in Charge of Auckland Venerable Rulian also led the kitchen volunteers to make more vegetarian snacks and baked goods every day. The baked goods consists of wolfberry walnut steamed bread, mung bean cake, coconut sago cake, lemon yogurt muffins and many more which were enjoyed by the public. The Temple also set up a WeChat group to enable the public to receive first-hand information of freshly made vegetarian food and pre-order the snack before it sold out.

Water Drop Vege Cafe launched various special activities from time to time, and has received lots of enthusiastic feedback. This is to promote the good value of going green, respecting life and protecting the environment.
