Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch promotes artistic reusable bag for a greener life
On 12th October, Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch held a reusable shopping bag signing session, with famous artist Keith Morant coming over to do the signatures. Those who attended the signing event included artists, Friend of FGY, BLIA members and Christchurch residents.
Keith is an oil painter, and his work has been exhibited at both the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Auckland and Christchurch to wide acclaim. The designs printed on the reusable shopping bags are based on four of his art works, and besides being convenient and light, the bags also have artistic value. Since its launch in July, they have become very popular items. On the day of the signing event, Keith personally signed more than a hundred environmentally friendly bags to increase their collection value.
Since 1st July, the New Zealand government has banned single-use plastic bags, encourage everyone to use reusable shopping bags instead. The artistic shopping bag launched by the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch is well placed to meet the new eco-friendly government policy as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
