Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple Auckland Delivered Hand Sanitisers to Show Care for Community School
On 24th June 2021, Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple Auckland Subchapter 2 Deputy President Jane Jee, Deputy President Leeyone, together with BLIA Youth Karzin and Lucy went to Finlayson Park School to donate hand sanitisers on behalf of the Temple. Principal Shirley Mahi QSM warmly greeted the team and expressed her greatest gratitude for the kind deed.
Finlayson Park School has participated in the 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing since 2018 and has maintained a good relationship with the Temple. When the hand sanitisers were donated to the Temple by the community organisation, Abbess Manshin immediately informed the team to donate it to schools in the community.
BLIA youth Karzin informed to the teachers and students that the hand sanitisers were donated to the Temple by kind people. Abbes Manshin cares about the public health of local schools and wants to ensure the resources are put to good use. It is hoped that the hand sanitisers can keep the schools safe and clean.
School principal Shirley said that these hand sanitisers are indeed very important to them as many boxes of hand sanitizer can be used in the schools within a period of time. With this generous act, they no longer need to spend extra money in preparing hand sanitisers for the school. She once again thanked FGS Auckland for always caring for the school, which moved her very much.
Teacher Mi Zhen also led a class of students to express their gratitude to the BLIA members. The students were very excited when they saw the hand sanitiser and warmly thanked the Temple.
