FGS Waterdrop Café’s Euro Style Lunch Buffet Was Overwhelmed by Vegetarian Lover

To celebrate the upcoming holiday and New Year in New Zealand, on 19 December Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Waterdrop Cafe held an Euro Style lunch buffet event. The buffet had attracted more than 260 local customer and BLIA members to attend. Nearly 50 FGS North and South Island staffs,  volunteers and youth assist in this event. The event preparation and promoting to the public took nearly a month where more than 200 people pre-register for the lunch buffet.

The café  was elegantly decorated, the kitchen had prepared nearly 20 different types of food and 10 type of desserts which surprises the delightful attendees. There is a hot food area where everyone may order, cook and eat. In addition, variety of cold drinks which includes freshly squeeze juices allowing customers to refill till satisfied. As the joyous holidays season approaches in a week time, numerous regular customer came together with family and friends to enjoy this pre-holiday lunch buffet.  The guests who came for the event were happy and impressed with this event.

FGS South Island promotes vegetarian lifestyle by organising various activities that consist of local culture characteristics. Hence, more people can taste the delicious vegetarian food and understand the benefits of being a vegetarian. The event also resonate its purpose with Vege A Project promoted by Buddha’s Light International Association Headquarter. The project encourages people to uphold vegetarian dietary, reducing the live stocks slaughter, environmental preservation which is sustainability and will benefit earth’s future.
