FGS Auckland Tile-signing Ceremony NZ Police Officers Witnessing the Historical Moment Together
On 7th December 2021, FGS Auckland organised a Tile-signing Ceremony. Abbess Manshin accompanied by the President of BLIA NZ North Island Mr Lintao Yu, the Sub-Chapter President Ms Yulin Gu and the BLIA committees to join the ceremony. It was also a pleasure to have Area Commander of Counties Manukau East Insp Gemmell, Insp Higson and Police Officers attending the roof tiles signing ceremony on behalf of the community.
The main building of FGS Auckland was seriously damaged due to stormy weather. Therefore, the Temple decided to repair the damage in early 2021 to ensure the public's safety. The community have supported the Temple's construction work whole heartedly. Hence the tile-signing ceremony is held to appreciate the public's generosity by writing the name of donors and blessing words on the tiles to wish the community safe and well.
Abbess Manshin led the police officers to the construction site to learn about the damage of the roof tiles and explained that the tiles they signed were to replace the broken tiles on top of the building. The police officers felt the construction's hardships and helped transport the construction materials to the rooftop. After seeing the damage of the roof tiles on-site, Inspector Gemmell felt that the construction work was remarkable and admired how the Temple cared for the safety of the public. He felt honoured to be a part of the ceremony to have witnessed this historical moment and thought that this event had further strengthened the connection between the community.
The president of BLIA Subchapter 3 Ms Yulin Gu expressed she was privileged to attend the tile-signing ceremony. She appreciated that the Temple prioritised the public's safety and maintained its buildings thoroughly.
