FGS Auckland Children Dharma Class Term 3 Commence - Planting Seeds of Faith
The Children Dharma Class Term 3 in FGS Auckland commence on the 31st July 2022. The students have progressed and grown under the guidance of teachers after two terms of study. The parents and teachers expressed that they are delighted to witness the children in integrated Buddhism's compassion and wisdom into their daily lives. Moreover, planting the seeds of faith for our next generation is crucial as it is the key to open door for a brighter future.
By applying Dharma through positive learning attitudes, self-discipline, and self-confidence, most of the children demonstrate a deeper understanding of it, Teacher Gwen shared. Teacher Nadine feel happy to see the children are looking forward to come to the Temple every week. Furthermore, it was a fun challenge to guide the young children, and this gave her an opportunity to play creatively and engage in interactive learning. Teacher Jane shared that with the on-going team efforts, having a clear syllabus in advance reduces preparation time and makes each lesson more effective.
I have made many new friends and becoming more patience, shared by the student Skylar. Her mother, Tian Liqun are pleased to gain deeper understanding in Buddhism while seeing her child more confident and happy through learning Buddhist etiquette and practicing the Three Acts of Goodness and Four Givings in daily lives.
Student Raymond Hu shared that by developing correct values, practicing kindness, be creative, and handling things calmly were learn through a variety of interesting activities such as art and crafts, dance, meditation etc. It was a valuable and enjoyable learning experience to him. Her mother, Sara shared that by understanding the law of cause and effect, cultivating the right attitude and righteous behavior from a young age is vital. All these will ensure the children heading to a right path in life since the seed of faith have taken roots in their heart.
The student Anthan shared that he enjoying to know about the Buddha and spread the positive vibes to the people around him through giving compliments and offer help to others. Her mother, Agnes shared that some of the good personal qualities her child has developed such as positive attitude, self-commitment, and kindness to others.
By having all of these characteristics and values has enabled the children to growth healthily in terms of physically and mentally to overcome any future challenges. All in all, with the faith in believing one selves and the full support from the Temple, all the children are able to become a useful person to contribute and benefit the society in the future.
