Christchurch Residents Pass on Wisdom of 366 Days book to Their Family Members

01 / 07

The Magnificence of Embroidery exhibition at Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch not only acquaints Christchurch residents to Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island NZ temple, but also introduces them to the philosophy of Humanistic Buddhism. Many people were introduced to Venerable Master Hsing Yun's book 366 days with Wisdom and were impressed by his knowledge and wisdom. Christchurch resident Juliet Nelson came to visit the exhibition on 6th June and was so delighted to come across the 366 days with Wisdom by chance at the art gallery that she immediately ordered it.

Juliet read a review of "366 days with Wisdom" in a New Zealand magazine, which not only gave an overview of the book, but also mentioned that members of the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) NZ 366 delivery team had sent the book to many hotels, libraries and rest homes across New Zealand, with many locals loving the book and deeply moved by it. Juliet found the book meaningful and wanted to purchase it, a wish that came through today. She said she also knew others interested in the book and couldn't wait to share the good news with them, and that she would come back again to buy the book as a gift for her friends.

Another Christchurch resident, Liz Bremen, was delighted to see 366 days with Wisdom in the exhibition area. Liz recalled a dinner four years ago at the temple, where a Venerable introduced her to the book and Liz was so impressed that she bought two copies for her two children, who were similarly delighted. Liz has always admired Buddhism and has studied the Buddha's teachings. She believes that giving her children the wisdom of Master Hsing Yun will help inspire them in their future lives, improve themselves and ultimately benefit society.
