Buddhism Depends on Me

01 / 06

Fo Guang Shan Temple is the first place for BLIA Young Adult Division New Zealand to visit during the new year. They arrived the Temple by 6am and started the day with dinning service.

Everyone is grateful to Venerable Master in Taiwan, especially for his new year gift -- a hot bun that symbolises the care and wishes towards overseas Temples. YAD members shared that Venerable Master’s saying Keeping busy is the best nourishment strengthens the heart. The warm bun from Master also energises the body and mind. The Temple always support the YAD with food, accommodation, transportation, hence, when the Temple needs support, YADs will be there to support the Temple back.

The Master once said that the future of world is about Service; Abbess Manshin often encourages everyone to practice the spirit of Giving.

YAD members made vows to be able to shoulder more responsibilities, contribute to the temple, and give others joy. By doing so, the YADs will be able to gain virtuous merits and be a better person.

With Humanistic Buddhism, one can cultivate a heart that blooms in all season, through diligent service, patience and tolerance.
