BLIA South Island NZ Cares for The Community, Donating Hand Sanitizer to School
On 6th October, Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island NZ Second sub chapter President Cao Qian, Committee Director member Kok Wei Low, Youth Adult Division (YAD) leader Ni Ling Chia and YAD member Ji Xian Ma, donated 168 bottles of hand sanitizer to the Citizens Advice Bureau and NTA English School.
Citizens Advice Bureau representative Melissa came to Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island temple to pick up the hand sanitizer, having written to the group several times about picking up the supplies. On behalf of the group, she thanked BLIA and FGS temple for their kindness, which was very helpful during this critical period of the pandemic, and said that she would share the information with more people so that they too can benefit.
NTA English School's Academic Affairs Manager Erick Akeley sent a letter of thanks, saying that the school appreciates and values the kindness of BLIA and FGS temple. The donation of hand sanitizer supplies during the pandemic had a meaningful impact, and the school will be placing the hand sanitizers in public areas and classrooms to help students tackle the pandemic.
