Arranging for the Coming Land Meets Sea Exhibition

01 / 12

On 16th October 2020, New Zealand Artist Rob White visited Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch to discuss about his coming ‘Land Meets Sea’ Exhibition to be held next year here. He was received by FGY Gallery Coordinator Ryan Wang and FGY team member Kok Wei Low. For the last 15 years, Rob has been in Canada involved in the business of film and TV props manufacturing. Intensely interested in Art, Rob often uses his spare times for his artistic works.

Since his return to New Zealand from Canada at the beginning of this year because of Covid-19 pandemic, Rob has been looking for suitable art gallery to exhibit his artworks. After receiving positive feedbacks on FGY Art Gallery Christchurch, Rob personally made a trip here. He was very impressed by the beautiful and serene environment of the Gallery and decided to apply to the Gallery to hold his exhibition here.

Rob’s application for the proposed ‘Land Meets Sea’ Art Exhibition was reviewed and approved by FGY Art Gallery HQ and is scheduled to be held at FGY Art Gallery Christchurch next year. On top of this, Rob’s works have also earned a place in the November 2020 Art Salon Exhibition at the FGY Art Gallery Auckland. Rob is grateful to FGY NZ for the opportunity to hold his first ever solo exhibition in New Zealand, his Motherland.

Rob’s artworks in the Land Meets Sea Exhibition are mainly in Acrylic and a composite of other media, and feature New Zealand’s unique natural sceneries, especially the majestic bird’s-eye-view scenes of the ocean. Rob’s art pieces are pleasing to the senses and the Exhibition is definitely worthy of one’s patronage.
