Four key proposals were discussed.
- The current registration count stands at 32. The recruitment team is encouraged to motivate Oceania youths to register early.
- The conference's key theme is Stay True to Your Initial Aspiration 不忘初心. It will focus on three main topics: faith, career, family and relationships, guiding participants in tracing back to their roots, embarking on the journey of self-affirmation and discovering the infinite possibilities and strength of life.
- To address the invitation of lecturers and guest speakers.
- The establishment of a mobile-free environment at the conference to enhance focus and interaction among youths
The Founding Master of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, once advised youths that, A dedicated heart is the most powerful strength, and the willpower of the heart is impeccable. Our will determines our future, thus a positive mindset is crucial for youths. Abbess added ANZBYC has been a beacon of light for youth's faith since it was established in 1997. The goal for next year’s conference is to cultivate positive mindsets in youths, enable participants to discover initial aspirations through faith and apply the insight into everyday lives.
The 26th ANZBYC will commence in Auckland from the 5th to 7th of July 2024. The organizing committee has been diligently planning the content and group discussions to ensure a comprehensive and enriching experience for participants, allowing them to receive valuable insights and growth from the conference.
